The right foot is attached with (4) 3/8" dia. grade 8 bolts at the ball of the foot only.  The stand he is attached to is a 34" round 42 pound metal piece 1/2" thick. The round stand has a "Yellow Brick Road" textured paint scheme.

The Scarecrow was designed to look light and nimble!

There is a mechanism in his right foot that can be screwed in or out that enables him to stand flat footed or raise up on the ball of his foot.

I was just thinking about you! It's so nice of you to visit with me.

Scarecrows head was carved out of industrial modeling foam. Then a few coats of fiberglass resin was painted over the entire head to give it a very hard durable surface.

debut at the Tivoli Theater in Chattanooga Tn. This photo was taken at the afternoon setup in preperation of the evenings event.

A Symphonic Night at the Movies: OZ with Orchestra
To many "Wizard of OZ" fans, this was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The 1939 film starring Judy Garland was shown in its entirety on the big screen at the Tivoli Theatre, with the Chattanooga Symphony Orchestra providing live music.
"This is the first time we've actually accompanied a film while someone in it was singing," said Pops conductor Bob Bernhardt. The timing and precision are a big part of what the orchestra has to do. We played while Judy Garland sang on screen."

This was a sold out show.
Just right lower center you can see from behind Scarecrow, a live Dorothy Gale and the Tin Man in a photograph session with guests.

Special guest for the evening was Margaret Pellegrini one of the three surviving Munchkins from the original Movie.

Picture
Pellegrini, 88, appeared in the film as a "sleepyhead" and Munchkin villager. Pellegrini was only 15 years old during the making of "The Wizard of OZ"

My daughter Jacqueline visiting with Ms. Pellegrini during the evening festivities at the beautiful Tivoli Theater in Chattanooga. What a great opportunity and a fantastic way to experience the ultimate classic film.

The other special guests; my sculptures of the Tin Man and Scarecrow accompanied by Dorothy Gale played by Karley Moon

This was great fun for everyone in attendance.
